Fahrenheit to Celsius Converter
Type a value in the Fahrenheit field to convert the value to Celsius:Celsius (⁰C):
What is the Fahrenheit unit?
Fahrenheit unit is used to measure temperature scale. This scale of temperature measurement is totally different from other types of units. Moreover, Fahrenheit unit temperature scale, the scale of measurement based on
32° F for the freezing point of pure water and 212° F for the boiling point of pure water Thus, the interval between these two points being equally divided into 180 equal parts. This measurement gives half a circle.
It was developed by a German-born scientist who lived and worked primarily in the Netherlands for his entire life. He proposed the Fahrenheit unit temperature scale of measurement in 1724 by Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit (1686–1736). It uses the degree Fahrenheit (symbol: °F) as the unit for temperature measurement.

He proposed the Fahrenheit unit temperature scale of measurement in 1724 by Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit (1686–1736). It uses the degree Fahrenheit (symbol: °F) as the unit for temperature measurement.
What is Celcius Unit?
Celsius unit temperature scale is also called a verbally centigrade unit temperature scale. It was equally divided from 0 degree to 100-degree interval between the defined points. Absolute zero, the lowest temperature possible in the entire universe, it is defined as being precisely −273.15 °C.
In another form of the temperature scale, it is represented by the Kelvin unit (K). Absolute zero is 0K. From the phase diagram, the temperature of the triple point of water is defined as precisely 273.16 K in Kelvin and 0.01 °C in the centigrade unit (freezing point). This definition of Celcius and Kelvin unit fixes the magnitude of both the degree Celsius and the kelvin as precisely 1 part in 273.16 of the difference between absolute zero and the triple point of water in the phase diagram of water. This is another way of defining the Conversion of units.
Fahrenheit to Celsius Conversion Formulas for Temperature:
( Conversion of units)
Formulas for an exact conversion of Fahrenheit to Celsius, the following formulas of conversion can be applied. Here, f is the value in Fahrenheit unit and c the value in Celsius unit:
- f °Fahrenheit unit to c °Celsius unit : (f − 32) °F × 5°C9°F = (f − 32)1.8 °C = c °C
- c °Celsius unit to f °Fahrenheit unit: (c °C × 9°F5°C) + 32 °F = (c × 1.8) °F + 32 °F = f °F
